Born in Portland Oregon, I am a self-taught abstract artist now living in Seattle Washington. I have always called the Pacific Northwest home. From a young age, I was interested in taking things apart and putting them back together.
With my artwork, I tend to follow a similar process. In my mind, I break down a painting into sections, and then combine them piece-by-piece back into something unique and engaging. I like to search for and discover gently-used/sometimes-forgotten canvases – as well as old or antique frames – and upcycle these materials to create something entirely new and different.
